Emerald Fire

The Album

This Album has been woven out of the dreams and visions of my lifetime.  It is a journeying album that weaves together sound, song, and story.  It features the Celtic Harp and vocals that evoke the Magic & Mythos of that tradition, but especially presenting imagery that 'opens the doorway' to the sacred feminine, to that power that lives in all of us (both men and women).  I speak of the power of the Receptive, the power to receive our own truth and to celebrate it in our lives every day.

This album is also a very personal expression of my own inner mythos.  I sing about the Passion that took me on a medicine journey through Britain and Ireland.  I sing about my love of The Old Forest and my concern for the lives of these ancient guardian trees and for the generations that are to come. I sing about my personal meetings with Goddesses of old, and I sing about the landscape within me � my own personal mythos � how it has been for me as a woman and a Mother to lose my Beloved in the way that I have, and to find the faith inside to keep living and to keep pursuing my dreams.

Deep in every heart the vision is burning.  Often, the dreamfire is deep in a dark cave, somewhere we as humans only travel when we are asleep or in an altered state of consciousness. I believe though that somewhere within each of us lives the desire to live true and to walk free.  It is a dream of a new kind of life on this precious jewel of an Earth � a life that is centered in the Sacred, in the moment to moment experience of Joy. This is a life in which all peoples live together in harmony and respect with each other, with the animals, the trees, the winds, the waters, and especially with the Earth Herself.;  in short, I dream of a Way of Life in which Harmony is key. I feel that sound,and that image put to music holds the power to take us within, to the place where the essence of this Mystery is alive, and this is the raison d'etre of my music, and of Emerald Fire Productions.
